Uzbekistan Proposes Initiative for Responsible AI Use
Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the seventh summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA)

The head of state emphasized that the rapid development of artificial intelligence brings not only enormous opportunities but also serious challenges. To avoid digital inequality and minimize risks, Tashkent advocates launching the Asian Initiative for Technological Trust and Responsible AI Use. To implement this idea, plans include organizing a regular expert platform that will develop practical standards and recommendations.
Simultaneously, Uzbekistan proposes adopting the Concept for Building a Trust Infrastructure in Asia. According to the plan, this document will serve as a roadmap for joint transport, energy, and digital projects that strengthen interconnections among countries in the region.
Amid growing geopolitical tensions, Shavkat Mirziyoyev called for resolving any Asian conflicts strictly through peaceful means, excluding their escalation. Alongside this, the country's leader proposed forming a CICA Partnership in Climate Resilience, focused on joint environmental monitoring, the adoption of green energy resources, and efficient water use.
Special emphasis was placed on the social agenda: Uzbekistan is prepared to host a forum on human potential development in 2027, which will focus on human rights in the digital age, educational opportunities, and youth support. To systematically advance this humanitarian agenda, Tashkent recommends that CICA adopt a specialized two-year action program.
