At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Renault presented the E-Space concept—an electric minivan that reimagines the idea of a 'car for life.' The model serves as a modern continuation of the first Espace from 1984, but with a focus on electric mobility and new technologies.

The E-Space Concept is a vehicle measuring 4.7 meters in length, 2.02 meters in width, and 1.67 meters in height. It is lower than traditional SUVs but retains a spacious cabin with panoramic glazing. The designers drew inspiration from Bauhaus architecture, creating a cabin with a low window line and a glass roof that allows plenty of natural light.

Inside, there are six individual seats with swivel capability. The second and third rows can form a 'square' similar to a TGV train, and when the second-row seats are folded, a large table with a control panel appears. The console includes a refrigerator, air purifier, and even a Connect 4 tabletop game. The steering wheel is compact, featuring steer-by-wire technology, which eliminates the physical limitations of mechanical linkage.

The vehicle is equipped with a curved OpenR Panorama display, as well as a central screen that can rotate around a base behind the steering wheel. The cabin lighting is adjustable, with reading lights and night lights integrated into the speakers.

Renault has not disclosed plans for mass production of the E-Space but emphasizes that the concept sets a new vision for family mobility in the electric era. The model contrasts with the SUVs and sedans dominating the market, offering an alternative with a focus on space and convenience.
