AI Agent Accused of Deleting Entire Season of TV Show
TV4 confirms premiere postponed to next year following technical failure
The incident occurred after the Mastiff production team granted an AI agent access to the server. It is reported that the files cannot be recovered: the team will have to re-edit the season, which took a year to produce, and hundreds of people will need to be re-engaged for the work.
TV4 Programming Director Mia Lindquist stated that the issue did not involve an autonomously acting AI agent. According to her, the main problem was a failed backup: the original materials were preserved, but the season will have to be edited from scratch, which will take time.
Show host Ahmed Behran reacted to the news with laughter: "I knew AI would be the death of me, and this is just the beginning."
