8-core Intel Core 5 205H found to be 10-15% faster than Core i5-13420H
New mobile chipset Intel Core 5 205H tested in PassMark benchmark

Compared to the Core i5-13420H, the new chip demonstrated a performance increase of 10.5% in single-threaded tasks and 15.7% in multi-threaded mode. Both processors belong to the Raptor Lake-H lineup, feature the same 8-core configuration, and have a rated thermal design power (TDP) of 45 W.
In the single-thread test, the Core 5 205H scored 3,699 points, while in the all-core test, it achieved 19,390 points. In comparison, the predecessor, Core i5-13420H, scored 3,347 and 16,751 points, respectively. The maximum clock speed of the Core 5 205H reaches 4.8 GHz, which is 200 MHz higher than the previous generation model.
Intel announced the Core 5 205H and Core 7 230H processors at the beginning of 2026 as part of the refreshed Raptor Lake-H family. A key feature of the Core 5 205H is the complete absence of an integrated graphics core—therefore, a discrete graphics accelerator will be mandatory for laptops based on this CPU.
