Netflix Fires Head of Film Division
Former Warner Bros. executives are among the potential candidates for the vacant position.

The decision follows last week’s layoff of approximately 1,000 Netflix employees across various company divisions. At the same time, Bela Bajaria left her post as head of content, with Peter Rice set to replace her.
Former Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group executives Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy are among the potential candidates for the newly vacant position. Their possible employment at Netflix is currently under discussion, with no official announcement made yet.
During his tenure at Netflix, film division head Dan Lin approved or acquired 88 films. Prior to joining the company, he founded the production studio Rideback, known for films such as *The Lego Movie*, Stephen King’s *It* adaptations, and the Sherlock Holmes film series.
