YouTube Likely Testing Hiding the 'Dislike' Button

At least two X users posted screenshots showing the 'Dislike' button moved to a three-dot menu. A Reddit user also reported that the button disappeared from the usual interface. The change was noticed on the YouTube website, but its scale remains unclear.

In 2021, YouTube removed the public dislike counter, citing a desire to protect creators from harassment. However, creators themselves can still see the number of dislikes.

Earlier this year, the service removed the 'Dislike' button from YouTube Shorts and suggested users access options via the three-dot menu.
