AITO, the Seres brand with Huawei technologies, will enter the European market in autumn 2027. At the Paris Motor Show, the company presented four models—AITO 9, 8, 7, and 6—but did not announce starting prices, launch countries, or dealerships.

In 2025, AITO sold 426,000 vehicles in China, becoming the leader among Chinese premium brands. In Europe, the company will face EU tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles—up to 35.3% on top of the standard 10%. Additionally, starting from 9 October, an EU-China agreement to reduce hybrid exports is in effect, which may affect AITO models with range extenders.

Currently, the brand is securing EU vehicle type approval and aims for a five-star Euro NCAP rating under the 2026 protocol. The company is adapting its vehicles for European roads by retuning the chassis and powertrains, implementing multilingual voice commands, and establishing a local service network.

In China, AITO collaborates closely with Huawei, but this partnership is not emphasized in Europe. The Paris press kit makes no mention of Huawei, despite the company supplying driver assistance systems and the HarmonyOS multimedia platform. In September, Seres took over AITO’s development, marketing, and sales, leaving Huawei in a partner role.

The flagship AITO 9 is a three-row crossover with a length of 5,285 mm and a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. The electric version delivers 666 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The AITO 6 is a two-row crossover with up to 340 kW in its electric variant and 345 kW in the range-extender version. All models are available in China in both fully electric and hybrid configurations.

In the first half of 2026, Seres Group reported a loss of 1.72 billion yuan amid a 7.9% revenue decline. AITO sales in September dropped by 29% year-on-year—the fourth consecutive month of negative performance.
