Free-to-play game Pokémon Unite to shut down after 5 years
The game's servers are scheduled to be turned off on March 22, 2027, after which it will be removed from Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.

Pokémon Unite was released in the summer of 2021. The finals of the Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 tournament are set to take place on the eve of the servers' shutdown. The Pokémon Company has not disclosed the reason for ending support for the game.
Sales of Gems have already been halted. Unused purchased Gems will be refunded to players after the service concludes. Memberships will remain active until their expiration dates but cannot be renewed.
On November 12, 2026, the game will receive its final update, featuring a special event: users will be able to obtain missed licenses and holowear. The update will also introduce a Library, which will allow players to view statistics and unlocked content after the game's closure. The in-game store will offer previously unsold items at significant discounts, including Battle Pass goods and exclusive event holowear.
