Apple announces release of first MacBook Pro with touchscreen
Pre-orders open from 28 October 2026, with sales starting on 6 November 2026 at a price starting from $2,899

The new MacBook Pro is equipped with a PROLED XDR display based on tandem OLED technology. The screen features high brightness, contrast, and support for adaptive refresh rates, as well as an expanded colour gamut for professional image and video work.
The touch layer is built directly into the panel rather than placed on top of it. Apple claims this reduces latency; touch controls can be used for scrolling pages, working with photos, testing applications, and playing virtual instruments.
The display now includes Dynamic Island for Live Activities, Spotlight, and Siri. The laptop also features a thinner chassis, an updated hinge design, an improved audio system, Thunderbolt 5 ports, and support for connecting multiple external monitors.
