The Arrowmax team has introduced the Arrowspace S1, an electric screwdriver that helps select the appropriate bit based on an image of the screw. The developers are raising funds for the device's production via Kickstarter. A kit including a case and 52 bits is offered for approximately 130 dollars.

A camera is located on the rear end of the screwdriver. A retractable support is provided for taking photos, helping maintain the correct distance from the screw. The image is transmitted to a smartphone app, where a neural network identifies the type and size of the screw head. According to the developers, processing is performed locally.

The result is displayed on the case's screen, and the slot with the recommended bit is illuminated. This is intended to simplify working with small fasteners during the repair of electronics, watches, glasses, and other devices. The set includes 52 bits made of S2 tool steel.

The screwdriver supports four modes with torque ranging from 0.1 to 1 N·m. The automatic mode selects a preset force for the recognized screw. When used manually, the tool is designed for torque up to 3 N·m.

The 600 mAh battery, as claimed by the creators, provides up to 90 minutes of operation or the ability to service approximately 900 screws. Charging via USB-C takes about 70 minutes.

An OLED display on the body shows the charge level, selected torque, and rotation direction. Without connecting to the app, the S1 can be used as a regular electric screwdriver.
