Meta Releases AI Tamagotchi Waddle World
The game is currently available only in the Philippines; the virtual pet turns the user's stories into an illustrated diary.

Meta has introduced Waddle World, an app featuring a pixelated pet that combines caring for a virtual creature with keeping a personal diary. It is available on iOS and Android, currently only in the Philippines.
The user raises a pet from an egg, feeds it, and plays with it. The character's mood changes: it can be happy, hungry, sleepy, or bored.
The main feature is discussing daily life. Users can share how their day went by voice or write a message. The pet transforms the story into a diary entry from its own perspective and adds a small drawing.
According to the app's description, as communication progresses, the character remembers details, better understands the user's habits, and revisits topics from past conversations. Once a week, it also sends an electronic postcard related to discussed events or its own virtual life.
Waddle World includes short mini-games and items for the pet. However, the developers emphasize that the app does not require maintaining a series of daily visits; users can return at their convenience.
Thus, the familiar Tamagotchi mechanics are used as a way to make diary-keeping more playful and personal—instead of a regular list of entries, the user interacts with a digital character.
