How AI Reviews Uzbekistan's Public Procurement
Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange plans to expand the use of the technology to assist procurement commissions
Artificial intelligence reviews 80% of announcements posted on Uzbekistan's public procurement portal. This was stated at a press conference by Ayubkhon Khabibullaev, Head of the Department for Attracting and Servicing State and Corporate Customers at the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange.
According to him, the mechanism is applied to all types of tenders. The next step will be expanding AI capabilities: the exchange plans to use it to assist procurement commissions and process user inquiries.
The trading platform also features an AI tool that helps obtain real-time answers to questions. Additionally, the public procurement platform has undergone an update, simplifying the search for goods and services and price comparisons.
Simultaneously, the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange is enhancing support for procurement participants. Training sessions on working with the electronic system are conducted for new employees of customer organizations. On the last Saturday of each month, regional branches of the exchange organize open days, where customers and suppliers can consult with specialists.
Large state organizations have been provided with dedicated Telegram channels and assigned specialists for prompt issue resolution.
According to the exchange, from January to September 2026, procurement through the Xarid platform enabled state organizations and companies to save 6.8 trillion soums.
