In Gemini, you can highlight part of the content, ask about it, and request the AI to make changes—for example, turn a table into a chart.

Google has added the ability to view and edit files directly within conversations with the Gemini neural network. Now, a created document can be refined in the same interface without switching to a separate application.

The file opens in full-screen mode, where the user can independently modify the text. Another option is to highlight a fragment and ask Gemini to revise it, change visual elements, or answer a question about the content.

In Google’s demonstration, the neural network creates a PDF study guide based on uploaded handwritten notes. The user then edits the result and clarifies specific sections via chat.

Viewing and editing PDFs are available in the web version and on mobile devices. Working with Google Docs, Google Sheets, presentations, Markdown files, TXT files, and program code is currently supported only in the browser.

According to Google, the new features are available to all users in all languages supported by the Gemini application.
