AMD concluded the third quarter of 2026 with a record revenue of $13.38 billion, a 45% increase compared to the same period last year. The primary driver of growth was solutions for data centers.

This segment generated $8.55 billion, boosting revenue by 97%. The company attributes this result to high demand for EPYC server processors and the launch of Instinct MI450 AI accelerators. Data centers accounted for approximately 64% of AMD's total quarterly revenue.

In contrast, the gaming segment shrank by 40%, to $773 million. This segment includes both graphics solutions and semi-custom chips for consoles. Therefore, these figures cannot be interpreted as a 40% drop in Radeon graphics card sales, as the company did not provide a separate breakdown.

Revenue from the client business grew by 7%, to $2.95 billion, thanks to sales of Ryzen mobile processors.

AMD CEO Lisa Su stated that demand for EPYC and Instinct continues to strengthen. The company expects to accelerate growth in the fourth quarter as it ramps up production of Helios systems and processors codenamed Venice.

For the next quarter, AMD forecasts revenue of around $17 billion.
