During the presentation, an updated version of the law, which has been in effect since 2014, was introduced. The amendments aim to formalize the commission's functions, improve interagency cooperation, and shift from reacting to committed offenses to early threat detection and elimination.

Currently, 14 state agencies are responsible for crime prevention, with some of their tasks overlapping. The system proposes to include seven more participants. The President demanded justification for the expansion and the distribution of powers and responsibilities among the agencies.

The assessment will rely not only on statistics but also consider citizens' perception of safety and hidden crime. To achieve this, a unified database of crime-related data will be created, AI will be used to identify and forecast risks, and crime risk maps will be prepared.
