Motorola Adds Dedicated Motion Sensor to Signature 27 – Smartphone Priced from $1599
The flagship features a 7000 mAh battery, a 200 MP periscope camera, and an EVS sensor designed to help capture fast-moving objects.

Motorola has revealed the specifications of the Signature 27, first showcased in September. One of the smartphone's distinctive features is a separate Event Vision Sensor (EVS), a sensor that detects changes in illumination at the level of individual pixels.
According to the manufacturer, EVS data is used by the Action Shot feature to reduce blur in moving objects. This is an auxiliary sensor operating independently of the main cameras, not an additional camera for regular photography.
The primary module includes a 50 MP Sony LYTIA L910 sensor. It is complemented by a 200 MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and a 6.78-inch Tandem OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The claimed 12,000 cd/m² refers to peak brightness on a small portion of the screen.
The 7000 mAh battery supports 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. A version with a 5500 mAh battery is available for Germany.
Motorola promises seven years of OS updates and support for GrapheneOS, though the timeline for the release of this firmware has not yet been announced. The announced starting price of the Signature 27 is $1599; cost and availability vary by market.
