First MacBook Pro reviews praise OLED display but overlook touch controls
Reviews of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR displays almost unanimously praise the screen, while touch controls receive little focus.

The new laptops have earned high ratings for image quality. Reviewers consider the display the main strength of the MacBook Pro and note that Apple was not exaggerating when describing it as one of the best in the industry. At the same time, nearly all highlight the devices' high price.
Experts view the touchscreen more as an additional feature than a key innovation. Reviews suggest that owners will likely use it infrequently. Some authors also compare Apple’s current approach with the company’s previous stance: Apple founder Steve Jobs did not support touchscreens in laptops, whereas Apple’s head John Ternus believes the time is now right for their implementation.
Beyond the display, reviewers praised the improved audio. The sound system retains six speakers, including four low-frequency drivers with vibration suppression, but updated drivers have made the sound clearer.
Criticism was also present. The MacBook Pro is only marginally more powerful than its predecessor, and the cooling system becomes noisy under heavy load. Fingerprints are visible on the base screen without a nanotexture coating. Despite these points, one review called the model a new benchmark for touchscreens in laptops, while PC Magazine awarded it 4.5 stars and the 'Editor’s Choice' designation.
